Questions
Is it only for the UK?
UK first: England, Wales and Scotland differences are spelled out. The main European rules and prices for Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland and Germany are covered where they differ. The engineering works anywhere.
I live in a flat. Is this for me?
Yes. Stage 0 starts with a plug-in solar kit, now legal in Great Britain, and a balcony garden. The book is built as a ladder from flat to farm, and each step shows what it costs.
Is DIY electrical work legal?
Some of it. The book marks exactly where the low-voltage DIY side ends and where the law (Part P in England, BS 7671) needs a registered electrician.
How are the prices checked?
Each budget line names the UK shop it came from and the date it was checked. Estimates are labelled as estimates. Prices and laws are refreshed for 12 months after you buy.
What format is it?
A web book you read in the browser on any phone or computer, plus a print-quality PDF stamped with your name for offline use. Builder adds five online calculators and a printable planner pack; Smart Homestead adds the smart-home config pack.
How do I get it after paying?
